Jayapura 1/3 (Jubi) – The Papua General Election Commission (KPU) claimed five provincial political parties are threatened disqualified for not submitting their second campaign financial reports. If until March 2, 2014, they do not hand over campaign funds, they will be disqualified as participants in the legislative election on April 9, 2014.
“We’ve wrote to the political parties on the report submission deadline since two weeks ago. Even on the 24th of February, we delivered orally to all political party leaders. However, only four political parties have submitted their reports, such as the Demokrat, Gerindra, Nasdem and PKS, ” Tarwinto, Division of Law and Supervision of KPU Papua, said in his office on Friday (28/2).
The five political party who threatened disqualified are the Golkar,PDI-P, PKPI, the PBB and Hanura.
According Tarwinto, the threat of disqualification will be imposed on those parties because it is set in a defined state regulations. “In the Law No. 8 of 2012 Article 38, clearly stated penalties for late political parties that submit campaign financial reports. So, the violation can not be tolerated anymore, “he said.
Tarwinto admitted that he has returned the campaign financial reports to three parties, namely PPP, PKB and PAN.
” Eight political parties’ campaign funds are not clear. We even bring experts from the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) in technical assistance activities (Bimtek) for the managers of political parties participating in the elections “he said.
Anugerah Patah,Commissioner of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of Papua province, said his department has warned the 12 political parties participating in the elections to immediately submit the campaign financial reports twice.
