Jakarta, Jubi/Antara – Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo said the rioting in Karubaga, Tolikara, Papua province, was not motivated by ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA) issues.

“The incident in Tolikara is not about racial issues, but rather the action of members of the community who were upset and emotional,” said Tjahjo said via short messages received by Antara in Jakarta on Monday (20/07/2015). Therefore, he asked the interfaith community in Tolikara to rebuild it together.

“It could be as proof that tolerance in Tolikara is better or even the best,” he said.
